Trevor Story hit two home runs, Connor Joe and Sam Hilliard also went deep, and the Colorado Rockies beat the Chicago Cubs 6-5 in Denver on Thursday.
Joe and Story, Raimel Tapia and Brendan Rodgers all had two hits for Colorado.
Tyler Kinley (2-2) retired one batter to earn the win and Daniel Bard pitched a perfect ninth to pick up his 17th save of the season.
Rafael Ortega and Frank Schwindel had two hits each and Jake Jewell (0-1) got the loss in one inning of relief for the Cubs.
Colorado built an early lead by scoring single runs in the first four innings against starter Jake Arrieta. Story hit a solo homer in the first inning and Joe hit his third of the season, also a solo shot, in the second.
The Rockies added another in the third singles by Tapia, Rodgers and Ryan McMahon, and Hilliard hit his seventh home run in the fourth, a 468-foot shot, to put Colorado ahead 4-0.
Arrieta allowed four runs on nine hits in four innings of work.
Chicago wiped that out in the fifth after starter Antonio Senzatela got two outs. With Johneshwy Fargas on first, pinch hitter Andrew Romine singled to put runners on the corners and Ortega singled to drive in Fargas.
Willson Contreras followed with a double off the top of the wall in right-center field, driving in two, and Ian Happ tied it with a single to left, ending Senzatela's day.
Senzatela, making his first start since being placed on the 10-day injured list with COVID-19, gave up four runs on seven hits over 4 2/3 innings.
The Rockies came right back in their half of the fifth. Rodgers led off with a single and Story hit his second homer of the day and 15th of the season to put Colorado up 6-4.
The Cubs got one back in the sixth when David Bote led off with a double and scored on Schwindel's single.
