Lighthouse has developed a new platform focused on US sheriff's offices across the country. The tool helps sheriff offices keep their county better informed.
TUPELO, MS / ACCESSWIRE / July 9, 2019 / Lighthouse Web Designs and Richelle Anderson are pleased to announce the launch of their new platform to benefit sheriff's departments and help the local agencies communicate with their county. Many commercial web design firms are charging insane amounts of money to develop these websites. Lighthouse developed a method to create sheriff websites for about half of what other web design firms are charging, without high annual update and maintenance fees. This allows the departments to put the money saved to good use serving their community.

Some of the key elements of their website design services include customized sites, designed for specific needs and locale. No two websites will look the same. The platform is mobile-friendly - removing the need for a separate app for the department, which saves money and reduces the time spent updating. The website is not rented, it is owned. It is built on a stand-alone platform allowing it to be hosted anywhere. It is easy for the department staff to update on-the-fly. Social media integration means news items and information are passed directly to social media.
Other included features are an Anonymous Tip component built into the website. Many web design companies are charging an extra fee for this. An Inmate Search module is also provided on the website and the department controls the information supplied to the public. The visitor information feature reduces phone calls from the public and provides helpful information on commissary and visitation procedures. There is an Admin and Staff Information section with key points of contact. There is also a Most Wanted Section, allowing the department to ask the public for help in finding the county's most wanted individuals.
According to Richelle Anderson, "We saw a huge need when working with our local sheriff. County sheriff offices need a website and the options for them were limited and cost-prohibitive, especially for smaller departments. We have developed a platform that allows them to communicate with their county, reduce phone calls coming into the department, and save money that could be used for other needs in the department."
"Often these departments do not have a website" she stated, "or rely on the county to relay information to the public. This is ineffective as it doesn't give them the ability to immediately update the community, plus they are often restricted by what information they can provide. If they are only using social media to communicate with the public, changes to the social networks would limit their reach to the public. A website is much more effective."
